Two Children Playing at La Jolla Shores

Keeney created this image by using Ansco Ready Flash (620) 6x9 modified pinhole camera. He states that the stains are due to the camera getting wet in the ocean water, creating salt stains as well. I think these stains give the photo a unique effect that makes the photo stand out over other portraits artists create using pinhole cameras.

Hailing from San Diego, Keeney grew up with a younger sister and an older brother. He has been married for over 20 years and has two children.

Keeney obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Rochester Institute of Technology. After graduation he became a photographer and graphic designer, which he has done for over 20 years. He has written two books, including Pinhole Cameras: A DIY Guide.

He is inspired by music, his children, travel and the ocean. According to his autobiography oin his webpage he believes his photos speak more than he ever could on what inspires him.
